Barbara Burrell has worked in real estate for more than a decade. In 1996, she established Burrell Realty, a Chicago-based residential and commercial real estate brokerage firm. Prior to her real estate career, Barbara spent more than fifteen years with Burrell Communications Group. As a principal of the firm, Barbara was instrumental in making it one of America’s leading specialty advertising and public relations companies. Barbara is a director of Ariel Capital Management LLC and is actively involved in a number of civic organizations. Additionally, she is an active volunteer in the Chicago Public Schools. Barbara graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in Education.
Burrell Realty is a family affair. Son Jason works with her on day-to-day business affairs and daughters Bonita and Alexandra serve on the board of directors.

Jason Burrell graduated from Georgetown University in 1994 with a degree in English and joined Burrell Realty as an associate in 2003. A second generation realtor, Jason has lived all over Chicago, including Hyde Park, Kenwood, Lakeview, the Gold Coast and Uptown. His experiences give him a unique perspective on Chicago communities and his insights have made him very successful in identifying real estate investment opportunities. Jason is the co-owner of The Long Room, a popular Lakeview bar and beer garden. He owns the building and manages its residential and retail tenants. Active in the community, Jason serves on the board of The Camp of Dreams and has an appreciation and love of Chicago architecture.
Bonita Burrell
Bonita Burrell is a stock analyst and CFA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Howard University and a MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. Bonita's work experience includes Procter & Gamble, Paine Webber and a variety of asset management companies. She has travelled extensively throughout Europe and Africa and has been involved in a variety of telecom projects in the region.
Alexandra Burrell
Alexandra Burrell is a National Board Certified full time primary school teacher. She has a MS in education from National - Louis University. Alexandra has a JD from University of Michigan Law School and is a member of the Illinois State Bar. She is fluent in Spanish.
